Collection: Respiratory
Respiratory distress in horses can have many causes that look different. Knowing the root cause is essential to being able to provide not only relief but an overall balanced and healthy environment.
Repel - Repel was formulated to help balance the horse with environmental or exercise induced asthma or heaves.
In TCM it is believed that asthma symptoms occur when the kidneys or spleen is deficient causing excess phlegm or when the kidneys are unable to grasp qi. The lungs control inhalation and the kidneys control exhalation. Excess wind and/or phlegm get trapped in the lungs and airways, creating obstructions and producing the wheezing and shortness of breath associated with asthma.
This formula helps nourish the kidneys, open the lungs while reducing coughing, wheezing and production of phlegm.
Respire - Respire was formulated to help balance the horse with seasonal allergies or allergic response to dust and mold.
In TCM seasonal allergies are believed to occur when the wei qi is deficient and when multiple organs are in a state of imbalance caused from the flow of qi being blocked.
This formula helps nourish and tonify each organ while assisting the lungs and respiratory tract to clear phlegm, stop cough, and boost the immune system.
